2 | Binding Method

Softcover Photobook Binding

Our Softcover Photobooks are bound using a customized version of the traditional perfect binding method.

The book block is side-stitched for additional strength and then perfect bound, with glue, attaching the book block to the cover.

This creates a durable and light-weight magazine style photobook. A side-stitched, perfect bound book does not open completely flat and has a gutter area that runs down the center of the book.

3 | Cover Options

The Softcover Photobook cover is produced with a 300 gsm Premium Coated Matt paper and then finished with a Matt or Gloss lamination on the outside.

4 | Paper & Print

Our Softcover Photobooks are printed digitally using only the best FSC certified papers.

Our Printing Fleet consists of a closed Canon loop, from cover to content, to ensure a consistent and professional finish.

The cover is printed on a 300gsm Premium Coated Matt paper. The content is printed on a 170gsm Premium Coated Matt paper.

5 | The End Product

All Softcover Photobooks are checked, page by page, for any imperfections.

Once approved, the books are polished and placed into brown
kraft envelopes with a backing board for added stability and protection.
Our orders do not contain any permanent Orms branding.
They are however labelled with your name and order number for
tracking purposes.

Once your order is ready, you will receive an email or sms notification for collection.

Please use your order number, as reference, when collecting in-store.

Courier

We ship anywhere. Don’t worry if you aren’t based in Cape Town – we will ship straight to you!

Your delivery address can be added during the ordering process.

All packages are shipped using a Priority Road Express Service to get the packages to you as quickly as possible. This means that products should arrive at your door within 48/72 hours from completion.

Please factor in additional time for outlying and regional areas - anything outside of a major city center may take up to 7 additional working days.

We unfortunately do not offer delivery to Postnet or PO Box Addresses.
